This may be
right for you if you are looking for:
• your money to be invested for a fixed
term of five years;
• your capital to be guaranteed at the end of the fixed
term;
• a tax free investment; (ISA Option Only)
• a new home for your cash ISA;
• (For option one) the potential for a return linked to
the Legal & General Money Builder (Investec) Fund.
• (For option two) a fixed minimum return or the
potential for a return linked to the Legal & General
Money Builder (Investec) Fund.
• a deposit based plan (apart from the money you’ve set
aside for emergencies). |
This may not
be right for you if you are looking for:
• access to your money during the fixed
term;
• direct investment in the fund;
• a way to set aside money for emergencies;
• a definite return after five years or a growth greater
than 10% after five years (depending on the option you
select);
• a deposit based investment linked to a stockmarket
index, for example, the FTSE 100 Index.

Important things to know before
investing
• You will not be invested directly in the Legal & General Money
Builder (Investec) Fund.
• For option 1 the maximum growth you could potentially receive
is 50%, therefore you may not benefit from significant rises in
the fund.
• Averaging is used over the final twelve months of the
investment. It may restrict any potential return if the Legal &
General Money Builder (Investec) Fund rises over the averaging
period.
• From the start date to the end of the fixed term your money
will not be invested with Legal & General. It will be passed to
Investec Bank plc, an authorised deposit taker.
Risks
• If you have to take out some or all of your money before the
end of the fixed term, you may receive back less than you
originally invested.
• Unless the performance of your plan meets or exceeds the rate
of inflation, the real value of your plan will reduce.
• If the deposit taker is unable to meet its obligations, you
may not receive all your investment back.
• The favourable tax situation of ISAs may not be maintained.
